Core Applications, Quality Control and Maintenance Guide for Air-Cooled Cake Display Fridges

I. Application Scenarios

Air-cooled cake display fridges are specially designed for commercial baking scenarios, suitable for cake shops, dessert stores, milk tea shops, cafes and dessert sections in supermarkets. They can precisely preserve and display temperature and humidity-sensitive foods such as cream cakes, mousses, tiramisu and fresh fruit platters. Supporting customized front-opening, rear-opening or double-opening doors, they meet different operational needs like in-store customer self-service and kitchen restocking. Meanwhile, the built-in LED soft lighting enhances the visual appeal of desserts on display and boosts product sales.

II. Quality Control Key Points

1. Core Refrigeration Components

Prioritize commercial-grade compressors from well-known brands such as Danfoss and Embraco, which support 24/7 continuous operation with low failure rates. The pipeline is made of all-copper material, paired with copper tube fin evaporators, featuring high refrigeration efficiency and strong corrosion resistance to avoid refrigerant leakage. The high-density high-pressure foam insulation layer reduces cold air loss and improves energy efficiency.

2. Cabinet and Display Components

Adopt double-layer hollow anti-fog glass with built-in heating wires to prevent fogging caused by temperature differences and ensure clear display. The inner tank is made of 304 stainless steel for corrosion resistance and easy cleaning. The shelves are crafted from aluminum alloy or tempered glass, offering strong load-bearing capacity and resistance to deformation.

3. Functional Configuration

The fridge must be equipped with automatic defrosting and precise humidity control functions. The former eliminates the hassle of manual defrosting, while the latter prevents cakes from drying out or getting damp. Some high-end models are also fitted with an intelligent temperature control system that automatically adjusts refrigeration power according to ambient temperature.

III. Maintenance Standards

1. Basic Operational Specifications

After transportation, leave a newly purchased fridge to stand still for 2–6 hours before turning it on. For the first use, power on the empty fridge and run it for over 2 hours before loading food. Wait at least 5 minutes after shutting down the fridge before restarting it to prevent compressor burnout.

2. Regular Cleaning and Maintenance

Cut off the power supply and clean the inner tank and shelves with neutral detergent every 2 months; do not use alkaline cleaners or wire brushes. Clean dust off the condenser surface monthly to ensure heat dissipation and avoid reduced refrigeration efficiency. Wipe the door gaskets regularly to maintain airtightness, and replace them promptly if aging is detected.

3. Long-term Storage Handling

When the fridge is not in use for an extended period, unplug the power cord, wipe the inner tank dry, and leave the door slightly ajar to prevent mold growth and odor inside the cabinet.
